A smaller form of the
“Bornmueller Fir”
. Slow growing at first, faster with age. Beautiful dark green foliage. Grows to approx 3M high in 10 years in the traditional fir tree shape..
Abies concolor 'Archers Dwarf'
A dwarf form of the
“Colorado White Fir”
. Slow growing, initially a round-topped shrub until a dominant leader is form. Then the plant develops its conical shape. Grows to approx 80cm x 50cm in the first 10 years.
Abies concolor 'Compacta'
A slow growing shrub reaching approx 1M in 10 years. The long, needle-like foliage is grey in colour. A 30 year old plant in our garden is approx 3M tall.
Abies koreana 'Gelbrunt'
A rare form of the "Korean Fir". The green and gold variegated foliage gives the plant an overall gold hue. Grows to approx 3M in the first 10 years.
Abies lasiocarpa 'Glauca Compacta'
A beautiful, slow growing fir. Attractive rounded blue needles.
Grows to approx 1.5 metres in the first 10 years and approx 3-4 metres in 30 years.
Ideal as a feature in a small garden.
Abies concolor 'Winter Gold'
An unusual form of the "White Fir" in that the foliage is bright gold. Very slow growing at first, taking some time to develop a leader.
Abies koreana 'Aurea'
"Golden Korean Fir"
A slow growing fir, growing in the typical symmetrical form of this species. The new growth is a soft golden yellow, maturing to a deep gold. The stunning cones open pink before maturing to purple.
Abies koreana 'Silberlocke'
A slow growing fir, usually forming a conical shape. The dark green, needle like foliage tends to curl around the branchlets showing off the silver undergrowth. Grows approx 2M in 10 years. The stunning cones start as green before turning purple.
Abies pinsapo 'Aurea'
"Golden Spanish Fir"
A stunning slow growing fir which may take a while to form a leader. The foliage is a bluish colour with a yellow overlay. A favourite plant in our display garden; it is approx 3M and 15 years old.
Abies procera 'Sherwood'
"Golden Noble Fir"
. A beautiful tree with soft needles that are golden on top and greener beneath. Grows in a conical shape, reaching approx 3m in the first 10 years.
