This is an unusual variegated form of the "Japanese Maple".
The new leaves emerge pale green with a pink and white border.
As the leaves mature, they beome a darker green and the pink disappears.
It forms a small, vase-shaped upright shrub to approximately 3 metres.
A colourful maple for a small garden.
Often produces masses of "flowers".
