They are very attractive when grown in decorative pots.
Some forms are ideal for Japanese-style gardens or for bonsai.
'Holger' is especially attractive in early summer when covered with light cream coloured new growth.
This will mature to a blue colour.
To maintain the "pom-poms", regular light trimming is required.
